[Cont’d from 6 Jan] I kept tinkering with my feather print. Too abstract gave me a vivid design with no hint of feathers; ultra-realistic seemed too busy. I settled for the more realistic rendering at a large scale. No final word on the source of the feathers, so I’m saying “baby dragon.”
Getting patterns to the best scale is still a challenge for me. I decided to play with a red-carpet mockup, but not at all sure that what looks correctly proportioned on the gown is the scale I specified at Spoonflower. Everything is an experiment at this stage.

The scale on that gown looks great. Should the gown also have a tail? That could be held up with an invisible loop around a wrist. Like a dragons tail. 😀

Well, I don’t want to be too “on the nose,” haha. But maybe she should be displaying long fingernails… or smoking a cigarette…
