I was totally going to skip this week’s Spoonflower challenge because the theme was “Rockabilly.” Give me a break. But, long story short, I found myself with a “vinage modern” palette and a plausible pattern idea.
Next thing I knew, I was playing Amazon’s “50 Great Rockabilly Songs” playlist and having fun. Whole lotta shakin’ goin’ on. I don’t remember ever deliberately listening to this genre. It already felt dated by the time I hit high school (when Beatlemania was just getting started). But still it rings a nostalgic bell as classic 1950s growing-up-in-Missouri, over-the-loudspeaker-at-the-public-swimming-pool background music. Be-Bop-A-Lula. So… Rockabilly… Missouri… Ozarks… Route 66… diner… Done.
Anyway, after rockin’ around the clock, I put the pattern on a “doll.” Runaround Sue?
Go, cat, go. Wine poured.
