Punditry Break

During my walk I listened to a podcast about the occasional need for a break from social media. Social media is not my problem. Politics and so-called punditry is. When the Mueller Report was filed ten days ago, I decided it was time to direct my eyes and ears toward beauty. I do this now and then for my mental health.

Oh, I get notices from the NY Times and Washington Post if there is any actual news. But everything else is speculation and pontification and useless parody. Sure, I love a good conspiracy theory or a sharp-witted satire. It’s like a big plate of salty french fries with ketchup. But for now a little abstinence is in order.
